UPPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTAN

Jacob's Pickles

Biscuit sandwiches, pickle flights, and the Upper West Side's most committed brunch line — now on Columbus Avenue.

Jacob's Pickles built its reputation on Amsterdam Avenue serving Southern comfort food at Upper West Side scale — towering biscuit sandwiches, fried chicken, and the house pickles that give the place its name — before moving in late 2025 to a larger home on Columbus Avenue near 93rd Street. The new room is roughly twice the size, which the weekend brunch line needed badly.

The brunch order hasn't changed: a biscuit sandwich you will not finish gracefully, a pickle flight for the table, and something from the long list of craft beers in mason jars. It is loud, generous, and completely unpretentious — the kind of place that turns a gray Sunday on the Upper West Side into an event. Come hungry or don't come.

Editor’s tip

Order one biscuit sandwich per person and one pickle flight per table — that ratio is the house physics.
